New Promotions Open Doors for Greater Success at EVG
Even though 2012 brought many great changes and milestones, we’re expecting 2013 to be even better and busier, making it essential that we have the right players in the right positions. In preparation for the season, we’ve done some shifting and are excited to share more about two important team players and their promotions.
Aubrae Wagner, Chief Operations Officer
From writing and editing to project managing and serving as the VP of Strategic Content Development, Aubrae has held just about every position in Operations at EVG. Most recently, she led a large team of in-house and out-of-house writers for the Cheap Caribbean project, where EVG fact checked and created new content for over 500 hotels and resorts like the Occidental Grand Aruba. Because she has worked at each level of content creation, management, and marketing, her experience makes her an invaluable COO for EVG.
As COO, Aubrae provides technical leadership, assisting in the development of a brand-new content management system, built using Agile Methodology and the flexibility of Ruby on Rails. The EVG Content Lifecycle Management tool (CLM) can be customized for each client’s specific needs. In addition to offering easy access for our worldwide network of writers and editors, it also enables seamless import and export of data to and from clients.
Acting as a liaison between Accounting and Business Development, Aubrae ensures that potential projects are properly scoped while guaranteeing that current assignments are on time and on budget. She also works with project directors to improve team efficiency and to ensure that clients’ problems are being solved.
To certify that our current and potential projects continue to be staffed with the best of the best, Aubrae plans to continue focusing on finding quality talent. She’ll be ramping up our network of skilled researchers, writers, editors, proofreaders, translators, and fact checkers while encouraging in-house staff to keep up with the changing methods and trends of the content marketing world.
Sara Fraser, Director of Business Development
In early 2008, Sara left her position as stay-at-home mom and killer freelance bard to join the EVG team as a senior editor. By 2009, Sara was running her own project—a content creation and management project with a luxury Euro-hotel brand—and brought together a team of skilled writers and editors. That project renewed year after year, and in 2011, Sara passed it to another EVG project manager and went on to tackle other market challenges.
From 2011 on, Sara acted as one of EVG’s Content Marketing Directors, managing new accounts in new industries. Key clients included WIKA Instruments, HandPicked, MapQuest, and American Express Publishing. Her strengths (and love) are in the scoping, strategy, and ramp-up phases of a project. Embracing her attention deficit and love of challenge, she has worked to get brand-new accounts and their projects planned and up and running perfectly before moving on to do the same for other clients. Her work in 2012 focused on digital strategy, including social initiatives, blogging, and comprehensive strategy for hospitality, retail, and manufacturing clients.
Now acting as a Director of Business Development, Sara works with new clients in both B2B and B2C markets. She helps them develop and implement cohesive content marketing plans that incorporate brand messaging, interactive, and customer-facing collateral. She can still be found blogging, tweeting, and spreading the good word.
New Leads and Even Better Business in 2013
We at EVG are embracing these changes and are looking forward to a great 2013, confident that both Aubrae and Sara’s positions, along with the rest of the hardworking EVG crew, will continue to aid our company in greater success with present and future clients.
